HARDCORE DRUMMER NEEDED!!!!

PSYCHEDELIC DARKWAVE GROUP

Seeking serious drum god (geek) for live shows and tour. Interesting situation. Currently a “virtual” band with the guitarist in Hawaii, Keyboardist in Kansas City and Bass Player in Dover-Foxcroft. Initially, you will rehearse with Bass Player/Singer and then travel to rehearse with the rest prior to a tour. Studio experience is also desirable.

This band got signed onto a US record label and are having an album released in August. We want to be ready to tour when the need arises. Must be willing and able to travel, have pro gear, and a diverse palate. Most important, your meter must be excellent. If you have a double kick and can use it well – that’s a plus.

PLEASE, no country bumpkins and those who are into country exclusively. You must have a clue as to who most of our references are. This is rock music we like to call Psychedelic Darkwave (some may consider some of it slightly metal). Some have compared us to Pink Floyd & The Doors, English gothic alternative bands, My Bloody Valentine, Portishead, Joy Division and Dead Can Dance.

Check out our website here and online (see below) for more information about us. Serious inquiries only — no beginners, and you should have some music to send our way and/or the chops to back it up. If you do, have music, send MP3’s (ZIP’ped if possible) to: scott@alicesweetalice.org

Thanks for your interest.

Get it together Girls!

We have had a wild ride the last few months we are a trillion sites and getting our names out there via the world wide web and it has gotten Crazy. Keeping up has been a testament to our determination. Being in this band has brought out the best in us and we love it. Not many can say that they are truly happy with there band mate (s). But GoldFox is peachy king. We communicate and work it out and keep each other motivated. And we are strong and revving to pick things up a notch. We have got our first Official out on the town show out of the way which is great. We are booking shows as I type and loving everything that is coming our way.

As for the studio...
We have recorded a few of our songs for our debut album Kiss of Blue due out this summer and are going to be heading back into the studio to record more originals. Which is AWSOME, we have so much fun working with Sean at V69 Studios in Portland and he is an angel and CHEEP. Which is great for us, as we are not raking in the big bucks quite yet.

WE have gone back and forth about which songs we want on the CD as we continue to write and create more originals that we love but we can not possibly put them all on one CD. But I guess that is a good problem to have. We do and want to pay tribute to some of the legends and our "Idols: i.e. Eric Clapton, Wynonna Judd, Hot Tuna, Hank Williams and so many others. But we also want to keep it all about GoldFox. When it comes to writing we are two peas in a pod and collaborate well.

We have had the great fortune of becoming the opening act for WolfCreek on a few of their shows. Which is awesome and exciting. We want to branch out of Southern Maine (Portland) and eventual out of New England. But until then realistically we are doing our thing here and timing everything and keeping our focus on the big prize of getting signed.

You never realize how much of a business being a musician is. I mean from trademarking logos and our band name to business licensing, tax information on top of equipment, performance and recording, along with a plethora of other things. It has been a learning experience and we are just so excited for the future of GoldFox as it will be something we will never forget.
